BOCCE BALL COURTS
Bocce Ball began in the Italian Alps during the early years when players tossed stones at a target. The object was to land as close as possible to the target. Roman soldiers, using balls instead of stones, spread the game throughout the land, till the game evolved in Europe. Lawn balls in England and bocce from the Latin word for ball, in Italy. It has taken a very long time but the game has really caught on fire here.
The game is very simple to play and understand. A small white ball, known as a "JACK or Pallina" is bowled down a lane and becomes the target. The object is to get one's ball as close to the JACK as possible to score points. Like horseshoes, each subsequent player can dislodge those balls previously rolled.
Building a proper bocce ball court is far more complex than meets the eye.
The bocce ball courts that we install are approximately 12 feet wide x 60 feet long
Variations in court sizes are acceptable
